Build my sell-ready plan PRO

Start with an asking-price benchmark you have checked against comparable sold items. Estimates are not an appraisal or a promise of a sale.

Fee estimates apply to the item price only. Adjust for your category, buyer-paid shipping, tax, promotions, and your seller account. Poshmark’s default preset automatically applies $2.95 below $15 and 20% at $15+. Editing its fee fields switches to your custom assumptions. Verify estimates against the full fee calculator.

Clear photos help buyers assess your item. Aim for 6–10 shots per item.

    Reselling fee FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about platform fees and reseller profit.

    What is BIDonBOT?

BIDonBOT (say it "bid on bot") is a reseller toolkit with free tools and optional Pro selling features: live eBay comps while you're sourcing, a fee calculator for every major platform, a reverse pricing planner, listing templates, and a weekly workflow. Free includes two photo scans per hour. Pro adds more scanning, AI listing drafts, and sell-ready plans.

What percentage does eBay take from a sale?

eBay charges approximately 13.6% in most US no-Store categories, plus $0.30 per order at $10 or less or $0.40 above. The fee basis includes buyer-paid shipping and applicable sales tax. Category and account rates vary.

How much does Poshmark take from a sale?

Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 fee on sales under $15, and 20% on all sales $15 and over. Buyers pay for shipping via a prepaid label Poshmark provides.

    What are Mercari's selling fees?

Mercari charges a 10% seller fee on the item price plus buyer-paid shipping, with no separate payment-processing fee.

    Does Facebook Marketplace charge fees?

Local pickup on Facebook Marketplace is completely free. This calculator covers local pickup; verify any shipping fees in your seller account.

How do I calculate my reselling profit?

    Net profit = Sale price − Platform fees − Shipping cost − Item cost. Selling a $75 item on Poshmark with an $8 cost: $75 − $15 (20% fee) − $0 shipping − $8 = $52 net profit, a 650% ROI.

What items are best to resell for profit?

Prioritize known brands (Le Creuset, Patagonia, Pyrex, Lego, Coach, Stanley) with eBay sold comps showing at least 3× your purchase price. Small, light items keep shipping under $10. Large furniture works as free local cash sales on Facebook Marketplace.

When should I discount a resale item that isn't selling?

Hold your price for 14 days. Drop 10% at day 15–30, 20–25% at day 31–60, and go to your minimum or bundle after 60 days. After 90 days, consider bundling or donating — stale inventory and storage costs aren't free.
